In Their Own Words... 

We rely on the commitment of our volunteers to keep the Shelter running every night through the winter months and many of them have been with us each year from when we started in 2016. Our guests tells us how much they appreciate the effort that goes in to providing a safe, warm haven but we also seek feedback from our volunteers and this is overwhelmingly positive.

But don’t just take our word for it. Here are a few examples of what volunteers have told us:
 

"I Very Much Enjoyed...
trying to make a difference. It is not an easy project as sometimes we appear to take one step forward and two back but definitely I would like to be included next time. The other volunteers were also a joy to work with and helped to engender a good atmosphere with the guests".


"I Was A Bit Unsure At First...
as this was my first year, but once I got used to the guests I was fine. I did the morning shift so I feel it is important to remember that some people aren’t good first thing. The other volunteers were lovely".
